My buddy has a female cane, and she’s literally the best dog I’ve ever seen. She’s so sweet and nice, she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, and she’s great with little ones. He did a great job raising her.

I lost my bullmastiff due to old age at 11 years. I got her @ 12 weeks. She was the best dog...amazing with my kids and very protective. I still haven't gotten over losing her. Hopefully I'll be able to open up my heart to another one some day.

We have a 4 month old female brindle cane corso. Absolutely brilliant with the kids. Really loving, just wants cuddles and kisses all the time.

Best dogs... German Shepherds. Smart, trainable, protective, fun, playful, affectionate, silly, good with kids. But you really need to prioritize socialization, daily exercise and training them. When their needs are met they are a dream ❤

I loved my girl Teadora Cane Corso she lived to be 12 my vet was always amazed by her but unfortunately cancer took her before she or I were ready. I truly would love another but have such high standards after Teadoras bloodline. She was the quirkiest girl who loved to play with her mix breed sister, loved those she knew and was reserved around strangers. I learned from her that when she didn’t like a person there turned out to always be a reason. I miss her everyday. I do now have a pair of Cavi’s who I adore but the Cane Corso will always be my soul breed.

My wife and I rescued 1 of each of those(along with a mountain cur and a boxer) and they are all the sweetest pups we could have asked for! I was worried about how they’d be around my 3 year old son but they all love him and are very protective of him!

my boy was a boarder collie mastiff mix. he was absolutely amazing and smart. at 5 months old i found out how great of a protector he was.

Corso are the lovliest big dogs I've ever been around, spent a month living with a friend who had a male and female. Can't recommend them enough 😁

I have a Kuvasz and I've never felt more safe when she's with me. Incredibly intelligent but stubborn and sensitive is not for everyone. She has certainly needed a behaviorist, no simple dog trainer can positively impact this type of personality

My mom and aunt had an English Mastiff named Ed when they were little. They lived out in the middle of nowhere next to a lake and would go swimming with other kids in the country there. They would take Ed, and he would jump into the water, grab a kid by their swimsuit, and drag them back into the beach. The parents were terrified, but poor Ed thought they were drowning 🤣

My Rottweiler is amazing! He goes off my emotion for threat and is the smartest dog and most loving dog I’ve ever owned!

We just got a female cane corso and she is amazing and we all love her so much. So when you said yours past at 4 months which is what ares is at now my heart just dropped. My love goes out to you ❤❤

All these dogs are amazing. Grew up with them and they are incredible with kids. Our parents did take them to dog training though when they were young.

Dobermans definitely make the short list. Smart, highly athletic and great protectors.
