If you're young and have no physical issues, sure. If you're older, training to failure can put you in the ER.

I once ran so hard i was blacking out, but still stood still, because i was praying with everyone else around me.
I should've sat down, but everyone else was standing.
I was fine afterwards tho

I just started consistently going to the gym. Its a big first step for me since I've never felt more serious about it. I'm currently pregnant so I worry about doing this now, but after the kid stops living rent free I worry with my current physical limitations from my profession (sciatic nerve, bad back, mainly). Anyone else got advice? I know I should go to an expert but I can't be the only one with these problems.

only way. You don't stop till you can't keep going. Takes too long? Not enough weight.

Gym phase to skip - Being Dave or being slow. Be Harold Fast 👍

depends on the volume of your workouts, going to failure for some people can be overtraining because they have more sets. Like Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman, Lee priest never went to failure because they were in the gym longer than other bodybuilders
