I bought this camera a year ago because many claimed that photos looked filmic straight out of the camera. And I must heavily disagree. You will mostly not be getting film like photos from this camera, it is a good mirrorless compact camera though.

I just acquired a Canon G7x Mk.II to get me back into photography and I love it. Can't (yet) speak to its film quality look, but I do enjoy the pictures I take. And its small size makes it easy to make sure I always have it with me. Plus, it's easy to use. SO far, I'm happy.

Crazy how much these cameras a still going for! Thinking about it need a point and shoot for those occasions I don't want to haul a ton of gear. Keep up the good work!

I've had two g7x mk 2 cameras but they are showing their age now. No mic input, terrible auto focus noise on the negative side but on the positive side it shoots great footage, good IS and also shoots well in low light with its f 1.8 lens. Also loved the close up shots this camera takes with the background out of focus. My last camera got sand in the lens when it fell over and that was the end of that camera, going to cost too much to fix.

Just curious, how much film have you shot? Looking at these images, I can say that they look like early digital camera point and shoot tech from the 2000s but I'm not sure they look like any particular film stock. Film has a great way of preserving highlights and in any image where you have bright highlights, they look clipped.

Just got my Mark ii 3 weeks ago after several months of studying options. I like the control one has with a SLR but they are not portable. I am abroad and have many photo oppertunities so when I go out I shove the camera in my pocket and am able to get very nice photo's and videos from this little camera. The price is ok and I am sort of a Canon nutball. I did buy the lens cover for it and I like to use a polaroid filter outside in bright light. This camera is popular and there are many informative video's available in learning how to use this little camera.

I mainly use the X-T5 but in the nighttime the noise is too much because of the pixel. So I'm concerned to buy this or the Nikon Z6 II. Totally different direction and a tough decision.

Nice video. I just bought this camera, but second hand because I could not find a new one anywhere. I spent an extra 100 dollars too over the retail price because of scarcity. I am so happy with it though, relatively low effort to use on the fly.

As constructive criticism, I'd say that your opening was kind of interesting, and I like that you showed images from the camera (though they were too small for my taste) but once you started describing the features you got kind of monotone and you didn't really provide information or a perspective outside of what everyone else is saying about the camera.

I think you have a lot of potential but you didn't make the most of it.

Keep working at it, I think you're on to something.
