What's the best vlogging camera!? I'm doing a side by side mic + video comparison of 2 of the most popular vlogging cameras: Sony ZV1 vs Canon G7X Mark ii!

I've had the Canon G7X for 5 years now and love it. I just got the Sony ZV-1 so was curious to do a head to head mic, audio, and video comparison, what each of their selling points are, what you should consider, etc. I hope you find this helpful!!! I think it's a matter of taste but I found the internal mics from Sony way better than Canon's mic

Cannon really screwed up with the G7X III. The autofocus is a disaster, Sony is sooo much better focus. I actually sold it though, and just use my iPhone 14 Pro. I was using my 13 Pro and realized I don't need the drama of a separate camera anymore.

I have owned sony alpha mirrorless for around a year and I have used Canon mirrorless cameras as well. I think Sony colors are better while canon autofocusing is faster atleast in their top range models. Nice video though gave me an insight into vlogging cameras from both.

You neglected to mention that the Canon has a full touch screen, which I believe the Sony does not. Once you use that touch screen, and see how easy it is to make changes without having to scroll through a menu, it’s tough going back.

The Canon shuts off in 10 mins …what?? Never heard this for the Mk ii and if this is true than it’s a deal breaker for me. :( thank you for the review

Love your video! We currently have the canon g7x ii .... was thinking about the g7 iii but heard bad things about the auto focus. Love the auto focus on the sony but the internal mic on the canon is better. Hmm ... main thing im leaning towards the sony purchase is the 4k and better footage. Let me know if you decide to move forward with the sony=)
