My tip? Get a high-speed SD card to avoid lag between starting/stopping recordings. I use a SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB - works amazing!

My G7X tips - DIY or buy a wind screen for the stereo mics. Micover makes some decent ones. The two outer holes on the top are the mics. The cluster in the center is the speaker for playback. Trim the adhesive on the flash side if you plan to use the flash for photos. Get your grip and keep it. Moving your hand around on the camera can ruin audio.

*I am actually in love with this camera, I've owned one for a couple of months now and my only complaint would be the dust inside of the lens which compromises a lot of quality in both pictures and videos when any source of light strikes the lens. And Canon won't cover the repair under warranty. Other than that, it's amazing!* Great vid bro 💯

I JUST bought this camera today. I've been trying to make videos with my Canon T6i and it's just too big. I obsessed about having a microphone so much, I ignored how impractical the size is. I'm really excited to really follow through with all the content I planned and never did out of inconvenience (and shyness to lug around something so big). Great tips!

I've had this camera for about 10 months now and love it! I just learned about the IS setting from your video. Thanks for your in-depth coverage of that! I like the self timer being able to take several photos. I have it set for 5 photos and 7 seven seconds when I'm trying to get a video thumbnail.

Last year at this time, I made up my mind to purchase this camera. Went on line to check the prices and searched G7. Well, I wound up with the Panasonic G7. Lower price, changeable lenses, etc. AND 4K. I totally realize that these are different cameras, for somewhat different purposes, but I just couldn't turn down the Panasonic. Now, I'm close to getting a good camera I can carry around in my pocket. The Canon G7X looks like a winner. THANKS for the review!

I really love the G7X for its low light performance and as you said the stabilization is great because you don't need a fancy gimbal or anything of that sort. You can just go out and shoot cool stuff.
Actually, you got me into buying one of these about a year ago and i have not been disappointed yet👍
