Complete nube, here. I just picked up one of these as an initial move from using my phone and was immediatkey overwhelmed with all the options to the point I wanted to return it and retreat back into my comfortable phone. Raw is overrated if you're a hobbyist new into photography. Raw means you need to spend time & possibly money on post production to get the best out of your images. If you're just shooting casual & not doing paid shoots, jpeg is perfectly fine to collect memories for sharing digitally &/or even print. 20MP gives you a pretty huge blown up picture.

P/S: if you shoot just raw & no jpeg, you won't be able to review after shooting.

Thank you so much! It's been so hard trying to navigate this thing since I bought it. I had no idea what any of this stuff meant prior to your video. I've been trying to get portraits for a few months and the flash mostly wouldn't go off I had everything on auto and already my few practice shots are so much better and don't come up super wide like a landscape anymore!

I know my mkii is older but I appreciate and will appreciate any content you think will help.
There is a lot of newer stuff out there but my mkii is in perfect condition and works well for me.

Thanks for this video! This did wonders for my photo quality. My pictures looked ok but up close it had a lot of noise. I was so happy to see the photos became so sharp once I changed the settings. 😄

Thanks for the video! I’m a hairstylist and bought the camera for hair photos. I wanted the camera to make my instagram look better quality to showcase my work. What’s the best setting for hair photos? Usually my clients are within a couple feet from me, pretty close in the pics and I’d like it to show the most accurate color, and a nice blurred background. Thanks!

no M, Av or Tv, depending if you're looking for field depth or "speed" subject. M is for specific cases, such as night photography or particular composition that need to be set up in a "non natural" way.
