There are five stages that everyone goes through when they have a cold. You'll start with a bit of a sore throat and hope it's nothing to worry about until you are bed-ridden and crying in your pyjamas.

Hi. I'm from America. When I was 25 years old, my home was getting renovated, so me and my little brothers had to stay at our aunt's house. We were all sick with a cold. We were all coughing a whole lot. Our aunt gave us some cough medicine. Since I cough like a 50-year-old smoker whenever I get a bad cold, my aunt gave me cough medicine first. She said, "It's medicine. It's not supposed to taste good." I couldn't sleep at night because I was too busy coughing and hacking. My aunt was in her room talking to her friends who recently got out of prison. When one of them heard me coughing, they said, "Tell your niece to stop smoking cigarettes." My aunt said, "Hannah doesn't smoke. She has a bad cold. Her brothers also have bad colds."
