Our New Chinese Electric Car in Laos 🇱🇦

Today we are off on another Laos adventure! We’ve rented the most adorable and handy little electric car (Wuling Mini EV) to take us around the outskirts of Luang Prabang, here in Laos. In the last video, we strolled around the beautiful city centre of Luang Prabang, Lao (which, by the way, is a UNESCO world heritage site), ate some local Lao food, and enjoyed the most exquisite views!

Whilst we were walking around the city we were asked about 1000 times if we wanted a tuk-tuk ride to Kuang Si Waterfall - a popular spot just on the outskirts of Luang Prabang. What better way to get to it, than in an adorable, mini, mint-green e-car that we aptly named Mikey the Macaron. Obviously though, we can’t go too far without fuelling up on some more delicious Lao food and coffee!

I was there in 2005, and back then we could swin in the big waterfall. It was also at the waterfall i tried papaya salad the first time, local spicy stile. I could peele skin of my lips after eating it. Went from Luang Prabang to Xieng Khouang. Really happy that i stumpled on to your channel, so i could "re-visit" Luang prabang.

This is Wuling Mini EV from China. It is one of the most popular budget city EVs in China. It is hands down the best fit for minimalists.

That car is amazing, I wish we had that in the uk or even in France. Honestly I would take this car over some American unreliable ford or GM any day. The Tesla doesn’t count since it’s in the 90k dollars range.

Such a cute and nice EV! It can seat four people too, China is 30 years ahead in EVs covering everything from mini EVs to ultra high end luxury EVs. The most important thing is they have the world leaders in battery tech with BYD and CATL, compared to brands like Tesla with no battery tech.

I would really love if I can have the Wuling Macaroon in my country Indonesia. Wuling just recently entered the EV market in Indonesia, with Wuling AirEV, and it is selling like crazy, or in our local term "like selling banana fritters". But it is a bit of a high end market so it is a bit expensive. So I would expect a Macaroon class in the future that is more affordable.

温暖的地方非常适合电动车，里程缩水比较少。
如果充电方便的话，做为短距离出行非常方便，使用费用也低。
等到充电桩到处普及的时候，做为长途出行的交通工具也很不错。
