Why you should buy a Surface Duo

Over a year ago, Microsoft launched its latest attempt at a smart phone, the #SurfaceDuo. Reviews weren't kind to the device early on, but, after a year of using the device myself, I'm a huge fan. In lieu of a traditional review, I figured I'd just share why the Surface Duo's an even better value a year after its launch.

Got my SD1 for 430 on Amazon. Been a week now. It's my entertainment gadget at work. Social media on both screen., watching movies and YouTube, and playing games. Still has a few bugs but it doesn't bother me. I love it

I just got mine recently now that its price is down to $400, and I actually really love it as my secondary TABLET device for playing games and reading!

It's now sub $300 and at this price I think this thing is an amazing 3rd or 4th device. When you already have a computer, phone and even a tablet. At under $300 I can totally justify purchasing one of these. If nothing else, it makes for a really cool Nintendo DS/3DS!

Nice video. I'm wondering if you tried Xbox Game Pass with your Surface Duo. That's one value aspect you missed to an otherwise very compelling video on buying a Surface Duo in 2021. Oh, and sure, the Surface Duo 2 is better, but you made a good point that the Surface Duo is great value at today's prices, which the SD2 can't approach for a while (maybe 6 months to a year).

The Duo seems good until I consider my use cases. I'm often juggling more than 2 apps at one, in which case the Duo fails again.

I was going to get the duo but got the LG V60 instead its a slab with a second screen I freaking love that phone.

Have you had a chance to see a difference between the Duo and Duo 2 when streaming games on the Xbox Game Pass app? I'm still in love w my Duo and not feeling too in need for the upgrade yet..
