Bankart Repair | Improving Shoulder Girdle Strength | Part 6
Показать описание
This patient underwent a Bankart lesion repair and Mumford procedure.
He has progressed to late Phase 3 rehabilitation based on right to left-side comparison:
✅ Equal and pain-free range of motion (ROM)
✅ Strength within 90%
Current rehab goals are:
✅ Improve strength/power/endurance
✅ Improve neuromuscular control / dynamic stability
✅ Improve scapular muscular strength
This video includes two exercises with Indian clubs. These are great exercises to improve periscapular stability, strength, endurance, and neuromuscular control.
The first exercise is the mid trap lift (T) with external rotation at the end of horizontal abduction. The low trap lift (Y) is the second exercise. At the end of horizontal abduction the shoulder is externally rotated, then internally rotated, and then returns to start position.
🔑 Rotation occurs at the glenohumeral joint
🔑 Controlled movement
🔑 Maintain proper form — no shoulder shrug
Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based not time-based.
🔹Move Better

Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. STOP exercising if you experience any symptoms of weakness, unsteadiness, light-headedness / dizziness, chest pain or pressure, nausea, or shortness of breath.
Performing these exercises should not cause pain. If you experience pain while exercising, decrease the speed of your movement. If the pain persists - STOP. Mild soreness after exercising may be experienced after beginning a new exercise.
