After all, we all know the 57 Precepts of Zote, and Precept 15 clearly states that you must win in a single blow.

So, if you aren't doing it on Radiant, you aren't getting the real Zote experience

I love that even as Bretta stops believing in Zote, the zotelings are completely undeterred. It really matches just how deluded he is.

This is phenomenal. I adore how Bretta’s lyrics change at the end, yet the Zotelings still “reply” to her as though they were the same as before, reflecting how Zote is so full of himself he can’t see that she’s beginning to doubt him.

I’d love to see more. Maybe something involving Pale King or Hollow Knight. It’s not supposed to have a voice, but Broken Vessel showed that that can be worked around for the sake of song. Plus, it screams, suggesting the infection enabled it to vocalize. Both PK and HK have a lot of potential for something emotional.

I honestly feel bad for Bretta. First she falls in love with the knight who was literally created to be incapable of feeling any emotion, let alone love. When she finally falls in love with zote, the knight ruins the version of zote she sees in her mind. After losing that love, she has nothing else and just leaves the town

why did watching this for the first time make me realize zote and bretta's relationship is something straight out of reddit and now i'm picturing like an AITA post or something written by one of these guys. i'm absolutely living for the dichotomy of the heavenly choir and orchestral track singing about zote stabbing you in the face. this character is so absurd and *these* lyrics clashing with the truly gorgeous song is exactly what i'd expect out of the character. brilliant

I always like to imagine that Zote was once an actually really powerful knight, who could fell mighty beasts just like the player Knight, but inevitably got too old and weak to actually do anything and is now just coping with the fact that he isn't as strong as he used to be, stubbornly defying his frail body and refusing to admit he's no longer capable of the same feats he was once able to perform with ease.
Even though he doesn't admit it, I like to think Zote reciprocates some feelings for Bretta. To have someone to bestow his wisdom onto, to listen to his ramblings. Give us what we REALLY want; Zotesong!

Fun fact, the lyric "I serve my queen in her own dreams" is seemingly a reference to the hall of gods quote when you haven't beaten grey prince zote and read the where the statue would be

The indie game bytes is giving me hopes that we could possibly see other, smaller indie games. Like OneShot, which has a very good music

Absolutely one of the best soundtracks in the game, and it's has translated well into song form.
Also, the voice for Zote and Bretta sound so perfect. I've always thought Zote would sound more bratty-like but this suits him well better.
