How To Turn Fast Boot On / Off - Enable / Disable Fast Startup - Windows 10

I dual boot Ubuntu and Windows (just because MS teams is better on it and I need it for work). I was wondering why my Ubuntu is so slow at startup and realised that Windows isn't actually shuttidng down. Switching this off helped speed up Ubuntu! Thanks!

Thank you. I'm going to try this in a few hours because ever since I dual Boot with Windows 7 sometimes my computer goes bonkers, my screen goes black but I can see the cursor my computer sounds like it's going to explode.

With this feature on, if you have a slow SSD and a lot of RAM (say 24 GB), everytime the shutdown will take several minutes because it writes the ocontent of the RAM to disk.

If i want to upgrade my laptop ram, should i turn off the fast startup so the laptop doesnt have any static current? I heard that if laptop still have static current or the battery still plugged in when upgrading the ram, there is a chance that the system could go wrong..

Great vid it worked when I shut my PC off and turned it back on my PC started faster by disabling the fast start up box but, after I went back and checked if it was still unchecked even though I put save changes it was not? So here's my question is this a one time fix? Or is there a way to keep the box unchecked after restart?

If fast startup is enabled, does it prevent your PC from shutting down fully and properly resetting communications in the computer?

Do you know any way to disable fast startup using cmd in update mode? The command powercfg -h off doesn’t work in update mode for some reason. I would appreciate your help if you know how to solve this problem (windows is not starting due to system file damage)
