Turn Off Fast Startup in Windows

Fast startup has been implicated in some boot problems, and can, ironically, make some machines boot slower. The option to turn off fast startup is in Control Panel, under “Change what the power buttons do”.

Hmmm, mine was already turned off... my start up time in Task manager varies from 13 seconds to 20 seconds, it still feels fast, cheers Leo! 😊😊😊😊

My pc randomly would not show anything in monitor and I called tech support they said try resetting cmos and bios and reseat gpu but after I turned off fast startup it worked good video

So recently my mom's computer has started loading Windows 10 very slowly. It takes maybe 4 minutes now to get past the start screen. Task Manager will always show that the computer has started fresh at zero hours even though Fast Startup is enabled. Also when I press the power button the computer shows an amber glow for half a second, which means there was a power failure. But there wasn't one. The motherboard light stays on too while the computer is turned off, so there was power. If I click Hibernate, however, the computer shuts off quickly like it should. And then when I turn the computer on, the button is blue like it should be and Windows loads immediately but with having to login since it's Hibernate mode. What could be happening?

I always turn this off on every computer I own because the hassles outweigh the benefits.

Also restarting computer disables fast startup.
