How to Use ChargePoint Waitlist to Get in Line to Charge

Are all the EV charging spots busy at a certain location? Not a problem. Use Waitlist in the ChargePoint app to get in line to charge. Here's how. (Waitlist must be enabled by individual station owners.)

The waitlist feature is very frustrating to use. People can hold the station for 30 minutes, so when we arrive at the stations, even though the spots are empty you cannot charge. You cannot really specify the station you want to wait for so it keeps telling me to charge in the other building garage. Also as soon as you pull out the charging cable, before you put it back to the station it puts it on hold for somebody else, even though i am just trying to check to make sure the cable is plugged correctly. It should be first come first serve. If the spot is vacant you should be able to charge period.

Is there a way to schedule a charging session for a specific time of day?
