Best for: Those who are interested in psychology, communication, marketing, influence, and sales. If you want to know about underlying triggers for decision making, this is an invaluable resource.

Influence is an incredibly insightful book which delves deep into the understanding of persuasion. The book is broken up into an introduction, followed by the six main influences Cialdini has identified; reciprocation, consistency, social proof, liking, authority, and scarcity. These are, more or less, shortcuts our brain naturally uses to help us conserve energy and make decisions. When understood, we can use these tools to better understand our decisions and make better ones or as leverage to convince others to make certain decisions.
