I have replaced the dogbone mount (torque strut) twice on my 2002 Ford Focus without removing the bracket. The video is excellent. Thanks.

No specific torque needed? Seems like there should be a torque on these.

I have a 2005 with a manual transmission. It is different than what you have pictured here. The bracket seems to be part of the transmission housing

I was able to replace this on a 2006 without removing the bracket, but it took two people. I yanked on the engine pulling it forward while the other person pushed the mount back up into place.

That top bolt on the bracket is a mother.... Id like to punch the engineer in the face for that one! Lol

I dont know about the 05 but in my 03 you do not need to remove the bracket. the engine pushes forward enough for it to come out. i have been working on the focus for 16 years now the 05 should push forward as well

I do have one ? if u don't mind. The motor mount on the bottom of this focus, is that the only one down there? A mechanic told me I need to replace the rear engine motor mount on my 05 focus zx4. When I looked them up on eBay to see what they look like, they show 2 kinds, that's why I ask if this is the only one down there? Thanks a lot!

Cuando el soporte o punto no sale por arriba, habría que dejar bajar la transmisión un poco?
Sería el punto del izq.superior.plis ayúdame.
Muchas gracias.

I heard somewhere that you have to support the engine while you're doing this, but it doesn't look like you're doing that.  If I were to do this, do I need to support the engine on my 2000 Focus?

on my 03 focus 2.3 wagon model I am able to push the engine forward enough so I do not need to remove the bracket . I would think the 2.0 model 05 would do the same ?
