The torque strut engine mount prevents the engine from moving or vibrating too much when accelerating or starting the engine. While the strut itself will probably never break, the rubber bushings used to dampen the movement will break down over time, and the whole unit will need to be replaced. I can't break loose the top bolt. My open wrench is stripping the head. I'm counter clock wise. On it. W40 to help. I'm off to AutoZone for a better gripping wrench. Something so easy.
