This video shows you how to install a torque strut engine mount on your 2010-2013 Ford Transit Connect. The torque strut engine mount braces the engine against twisting, shaking, and vibrating when under load, and when load changes suddenly. The rubber bushings on the torque strut mount will wear down over time, and need to be replaced, even if the strut itself is in good condition. You'll know it's time to replace the torque strut engine mount when you feel vibration or shaking, especially when accelerating.

This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2010 Ford Transit Connect
2011 Ford Transit Connect
2012 Ford Transit Connect
2013 Ford Transit Connect

Tools you will need:
• Pole Jack

These are really nice videos and how I wish all YouTube instructional videos were. No fluff. No stories. No shaky camera. Easy to follow and all the info needed.

how do i get it off if back bolt has welded itself to the centre of mount and the rubber is just spinning round

Helpful. But why didn't you pry the transmission for the rear bolt? Currently I have my bolts out but cannot get enough space to remove the old mount. I assume this was done after replacing the top mounts? Any advice is appreciated. Thx

One more thing. The longer bolt goes on the smaller end not the other way around like the video.
