New Helluva Boss Merch Controversy is Crazy

For what feels like the 10th time this week there’s been another hazbin hotel controversy. I’ll break it down.

So yesterday to celebrate the release of the latest helluva boss short, there was another merch drop.

In particular they added a slurs shirt featuring the penguin from the episode.

This didn’t go down well at all and the tweet quickly left its target audience. The 3 main criticisms being that the shirt is quote white people humour, that it’s offensive, and that the shirt should’ve been just the penguin.

It’s also likely that the merch was made this way to spark outrage on twitter and increase sales.

Personally i think the shirt should’ve just been the penguin. I definitely wouldn’t wear a slurs shirt in public because nobody outside of the shows fanbase would get the joke and you’d just look like an insane person. What do you think? Let me know down below.

Here’s the fix: replace “slurs” with $@#&£# like a censored word, that way it can be seen in public as a penguin just angrily swearing and the fans would still recognise the reference
