Did Vivziepop just confirm RadioApple as canon? Hazbin Hotel merch situation explained

Today hazbin fans are going insane because radioapple might’ve been confirmed as canon. Let me explain.

Today on vivzie’s youtube account an announcement was posted featuring some duo artwork of alastor with lucifer. Included with the image was some text reading, “radio apple devotees, get your orders in”.

So alot of fans have been taken this as radioapple being canon, since as far as i’m aware this is the first time it’s been acknowledged in an official capacity.

Personally i completely disagree. Alastor is ace while lucifer has a wife, and they’re clearly cashing in on the radioapple shippers. I think it’s a smart marketing move. If you remember the previous videos i made about other helluva boss merch or the mugs, the team has been making merch that deliberately sparks discussion or controversy. They know that if people kick up a fuss it’s free publicity for the merchandise.

It seems to have worked. In the comments there’s now people fighting over whether or not it’s canon.

I also think a lot of people are forgetting that ships don’t have to be romantic or sexual, it technically can be any kind of relationship, so they could stay plain rivals or they could be frenemies. Who knows.

Y’all do know you can be asexual and be in a relationship right? My friend is aro/ace and has a boyfriend still, it just means your (in Alastor case) your sexual attraction is very low to none not in terms of romance
