This video shows you how to install new rear shocks from TRQ on your 2011-2018 Ram 1500. Shock absorbers help your vehicle stay stable and safe. Signs of worn out shocks are knocking or bumping noises, loose handling, or a bouncy or bumpy ride. The typical service life of a shock absorber is 50,000 miles, depending on conditions. TRQ shocks and struts are engineered to fit your vehicle perfectly.

This repair was done on a 2016 Ram 1500 SLT 3.6L Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

2014 Ram 1500
2015 Ram 1500

I appreciate this video! Saved a lot of time knowing which tools I'd need and a process to follow.

Guys, what I did, I grabbed 1-1/2” hole saw, looked where oppee bolt is and made a hole in the plastic wheel well. Both sides took me less than hour up and down the jack. So many will disagree, but taking that plastic off for me means mud flaps, flares… anyway, win for me, idea for you.

Will a flex-head ratchet wrench work for the 22mm nut on the back side of the upper mount?
