If you mess up like I did while cutting the plastic retainer, you can easily take a ratchet strap to collapse the shock again.

Does vehicle have to be lifted or be supported by jack/jack stand to do this? I have shock extenders that only require I take the bottom shock bolt out but don’t know if I need a jack to do so

To those who said he forgot to “prime” the shocks…monotube shocks do NOT have to be primed before installation.

Currently have the bed removed on my 1990 chevy c1500. I'm assuming it would be easier to remove and install new ones right ??? Do you think I need a jack to raise or lower for this job ?? Help

How they holding up? I got the newer Monroe's without the rubber boot. I was hoping to get some Blistein 5100's but all the auto parts stores were bone dry.

How are they 3 years later? Do you feel the bumps or more like a dampener in newer vehicles?
