INFO DUMP: Communications within an autistic relationship. I’m only a few months into such a relationship myself but content on autistic relationships is near on zero except for this channel. hyper-specific info dump topic: non-fashion historical influences on fashion!! (non-victorian example that comes to my mind is how police using water hoses on civil rights protestors was a factor in the rise of the natural hair movement in the 60s as well as the shift from sunday's best -> utility clothes for protest-wear!)

Ha. Watching this video, it just clicked with me why no one ever enjoys listening to me talk about my interests as much as I enjoy listening to other people talk about theirs. I really enjoy info dumping -- whether I'm the speaker or the listener -- but I guess most Neurotypicals only enjoy it if they're the ones speaking. (And yes, Neurotypicals do this too. I guess maybe they're just better at reading the room and knowing when it's inappropriate or unwanted. But if you're willing to listen to people info dump, they will not disappoint.)

There is a specific reason that I am asking this. I have a job as a newspaper reporter and my special interests around that job center around the following 1. Flooding in the town that I'm from 2. The funding of our 911 Center 3. A murder that actually happened 18 months before I moved to town and 4. The murder across the street from me. Whenever I get a chance, I talk my editor into letting me do a story about one of those topics and the entire story is like an 800 word info dump that 8, 000 people get to read. no better thing for an autistic than to literally get paid for info dumping

Info dump topic: I'm interested in some historical things!!! For example, what were nurses clothes like in that type period? Did nurses like we think of them today exist back than?

I info dump with my friends, family, or when I do a process I call, "weeding." If a person leaves from/is disinterested by my info dumping, there will be no future friendship. If a person is interested, stays, or info dumps on me, I'm interested in possible friendships. I weed out the people I want around me. 😁

As to info dumping on this channel, I highly doubt you two would be interested in anything I would info dump because I like fairytales, history, cartoons, anime, toys/dolls, art, and music. Don't know how much you would actually be interested in any of those.

Hello, I don't usually comment often as I'm shy when it comes to the internet! :)
I did quite enjoy this video, and I related in a couple of ways to it- I can say I quite like listening to fellow people on the spectrum info dumping, even if it's a topic I know absolutely nothing about! When I talk to my friends, I actually try to encourage them to info dump (whether they're on the spectrum or not), because I know I'm rubbish at conversation and I tend to worry my own info dumping just isn't interesting enough for them. I think I am quite a boring person though. xD

(By the way, I'm not sure if YouTube is still blocking the name of the spectrum in question beginning with an "a", but I've avoided using it here just in case! Apologies for that!)

Regarding topics for info dumping, do you have any particular thoughts on the Star Wars KOTOR video game series, and its underlying themes of power and corruption? (Or even the Star Wars universe generally?)
