You ask? We answer. Psych Hub interviews Dr. Jeffrey Cohen, @ColumbiaPsych clinical psychologist and a leading expert on balancing acceptance with change. In this episode of Ask the Expert, we will cover how to cope with things you ethically cannot accept, but don't have control over:

I really appreciate this talk. Was hoping to find some more videos from Dr. Cohen on YouTube but only saw a few. I like the way he explains. I also appreciate the interviewer's input and her summary of Dr. Cohen's points

I have been enjoying life living with anxiety and panic disorder for about 25 years. The root cause has yet to be determined but lack of control in most aspects of life (seen through my eyes) is most certainly a major contributor to my condition. I’m blessed and thankful for what I have in life and want to free myself from the persistent racing thoughts and self judgment. I live in Las Vegas and seek a therapist who specializes in CBT. Do you have a recommendation for a therapist in my area? I’ve been to several in my life but haven’t found the best fit. Do you have any recommendations I can employ in conjunction with therapy? Trying to keep a consistent routine of exercise and mindfulness has not been attainable as the depression makes it difficult to keep consistent. I’m 46 and happily married with no financial worries but the anxiety and depression seems to be anchor holding me just below the surface of true peace. Thank you for your video.
