Everything in this animation is my theory about the smiling critters' fate based on their cutouts.
here's the theory:

When the Hour of Joy happened, everything was chaotic. The Smiling critters tried to keep the orphans alive but all ended up eaten by other monsters or lost. After the massacre, everything was destroyed, and the Smiling critters were trapped inside the Playcare by Catnap, he didn't let them leave as the Prototype ordered. During that time, everyone was worried, scared, and hungry, Dogday tried to calm them down by saying everything would be fine but he didn't really believe it either.

Bubbaphant, however, didn't mind the hunger, he wanted the answer. He knew the Prototype was the one standing behind the Hour of Joy and he planned a way to kill him. He told this to Crafty and they started working with each other on the plan. But before they even complete, Catnap was there and released the gas, Bubba was stuck inside the room and Crafty ran out to find help. They heard his terrified scream with laughter. His corpse was found with a little poppy gas. The hunger took control of Picky, she secretly ate Bubbaphant's corpse and completely lost her mind because of the red smoke.

Kickin couldn't stand staying in this Playcare anymore, he advised everyone to escape and they agreed. At the door, Kickin went out first to keep his cool image, he slowly opened the door, but quickly, he was pulled outside. They heard his terrified scream and after that, his corpse was thrown out, which frightened everyone. After that, again, Picky secretly ate the corpse.

Hoppy found another escape, but this escape required them to pass through the low level of the Playhouse, which was very dangerous. Everyone got their weapons and the spirit to walk inside the Playhouse. Luckily, they managed to survive the mini critters. But then in front of them was an abyss, they had to successfully jump through it or they would be eaten. Hoppy chose to slow down to help the others get to the other side and ended up being eaten brutally. Bobby failed to make a successful jump and fell into the abyss.

Picky met Catnap and listened to him. She attacked Dogday and Crafty to eat them, and then she revealed she was the one who ate the corpses, which disgusted them. Then Dogday separated her from him and Crafty, those two finally escaped Playcare, but a lot of danger targeted them.

Dogday and Crafty went to a storage that stored food for toy monsters like them, but nothing was left. Crafty doubted Dogday that he hid all the food away from her. They fought and Dogday accidentally hurt Crafty. Then she judged him for not being a good leader and left him.

Dogday wandered everywhere for food, he didn't want to eat the corpse and other smaller toys at first, but he couldn't take it anymore. He met Poppy while he was searching for more food. She told him about her plan and asked him to join her to kill the Prototype and he agreed. But Catnap found them, he attacked them and put them to sleep with the poppy gas. Poppy was kidnapped and trapped inside the case filled with red smoke, and Dogday was sent to his old house, which was the jail inside the playhouse. He tried to escape and convince Catnap not to listen to the Prototype and his legs and eyes were taken as a punishment for heretics. Dogday quit trying to convince Catnap, he knew his friend wasn't the same anymore, but he didn't lose hope, he believed someday, an angel would come and save Playcare from the prototype.

Just to point it out for my theory, Dogday yelled out “MOM” when he was being killed by catnap, indicating he was a child of some sorts, or possibly an ORPHAN.
Just think about it, we figure out in chapter 2 that “The playcare” place for orphans, mommy long legs even said that she was the closet thing they had to a mom, so before catnap or Dogday died, they were children, so my theory is all the smiling critters are children.

This is incredible. I thought it was interesting how you animated CraftyCorn to be solemn rather than happy and joyful. I also love DogDay and his coffee on caffeinate and how he seemed genuinely happy but then you replaced him with PickyPiggy showing how happy she was to feast on her friends. I LOVE THIS😈😈😈
