I love this so much. This entire thing perfectly represents Sans as a character, especially the bit at the end about how the player's not forced to be evil, they "make the choice to be." Love it ❤

This just reminds me how tragic of a character Sans is on the genocide route. His backstory is still largely a mystery, but it’s pretty much been outright confirmed through hints in the game that he comes from another world, and that he’ll never be able to see the people from said world ever again. He somehow ends up in the Undertale world with presumably his brother being the only thing he has left from his home.

And yet he’s just expected to go on with this new life, to readjust despite losing nearly everything he ever had. ‘you must really wanna go home, huh? i know the feeling, bucko.’
But he still keeps going, befriending many of the underground’s monsters, becoming a beloved comedian and Grillby’s regular. Things start to look brighter for Sans until in an instant, everything is taken from him once again.

Despite this, when he finally comes face to face with the one responsible, the murderer that wiped out almost all other life, he still gives them a chance. He ponders if even the worst person can change, taking notes from his brother’s philosophy, and gives the player a chance to go back and reset the timeline by ‘sparing’ them.

In fact, even after everything you did, he admits that he actually wanted to be friends with you. He’s the only character in the game that understands your true nature: that you’re not some kind of heartless monster that takes pleasure in harming others. No, he’s the only one that understands the real reason why you set out on your bloody rampage in the first place:
‘you’re not doing this out of any desire for good or evil. you’re doing this because you think you can. and because you can… you have to.’

The amount of understanding he treats you with despite everything you did to him is absurd. He knows that you’re not pure evil, and he genuinely wants to be able to get to know you. But he also knows that if he holds back against you, his world as he knows it will be erased. And then he would really have nothing left. So he still keeps fighting until his last breath. Because he refuses to watch as everything is taken from him for a second time.

the fact that the song that plays during the pacifist-neutral judgments is named THE CHOICE just makes this animation better. ABSOLUTE GOLD

Like I said on tumblr.. this is the best undertale animation I’ve seen, probably ever! It represents the characters so perfectly whilst also capturing the entire essence of the game and the genocide run, it also taps into a song that hasn’t been used in this context before! It’s amazing

YESSSS I've had this song saved for an Undertale animation for so long but this is way better than I could've done!
Using Papyrus as the "Caffeinate!" is so clever, and I love the back and forth "But I am!" "No!" as they're actively fighting, like he's trying to talk Chara down

It feels oddly refreshing to see someone draw sans without the flaming blue eye and with a moulth that opens
(No judgement on those who draw him like that, it's just a bit repetitive. So I'm happy to see a canon one 🥲)

VERY WELL MADE DUDE! Never seen such a original idea to use a song for Undertale, and using words like brain, heart, controlle, mellatonin, are very fitting, and Papyrus jumping up with Sans is very nicely made too, and YOU made to choice to be a great animator who gave me a smile in the morning...thanks!

I’ve watched this tons of times now and I can’t express how much I love it. That frame of “you made the choice to be” gives me goosebumps, it’s so fitting. And overall, you made Sans’s genocide battle look so cool I’m obsessed

I seriously hope this blows up. The amount of polished this is!! The clean lines and colors, the lighting in the Judgement Hall 😭 it comes together so nicely, I don’t want to stop watching it. AND ALSO THE ‘CAFFEINATE’ SCENE WITH PAP JUMPING AND SANS ON HIS SHOULDERS?? My heart 🥺
