Forge 1.20.1 Exit Code 1 2023 (If all else fails)

- You've tried deleting all mods from your mods folder.
- You've installed latest java.
- You've tried installing/reinstalling Minecraft launcher
- You've deleted other versions from version folder
-You've installed the latest graphics driver
-You've notice that older forges work but not the latest one?

If this sounds like you! You are not alone. This issue is specific to some pcs!

Solution: Basically, the solution is to install an older version of your graphics card driver.

I FOUND A FIX
for people who have a empty mods folder and it doesn't work follow me
I found out the problem is from amd drivers
You gotta go to Google and type "AMD software adrenaline edition"
You download it
Open it and download every update that's in there
When it's done it's gonna ask you to restart the PC do that and then open the software again make sure there's no more updates
Open Minecraft and try it should work

BRO YOU SAVE MY LIFE AFTER HAVING THIS ISSUE FOR 3 MONTHS WITHOUT PLAYING FORGE, it's seem i found out that I'm using latest drivers so i put it like what you show in the video and it work!!!! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much!!! I have the same graphics card as you btw and it also worked for me. At first, i thought it wouldn't launch because of outdated mods. Interestingly enough, before i found this video, i tried running the same modpack but on fabric, and it worked with no problem...

I love youtube i tried 3 hours before fixing this problem on my own with just a bit of research, reinstalled java and minecraft 3 times, just now i decided to look on youtube and all the videos it recomended me were different problems or the solutions i already tried im so happy i tried ur video too, after 6 hours im able to play the modpack.

I am hating having Nvidia GeForce. I went back to September of 2023 and it still wont work. There are no older drivers to go back to.

So, I have a "Radeon RX 580 Series" and whenever I try to install the old driver halfway through it says "Setup has detected an incompatible build. Setup will now exit." Any idea why?

i just factory reset my pc and the problem was solved. i downloaded “error 422” version which had me download another version of Java and a whole other Java launcher, that’s probably what messed it up.

... thats the problem, im not using amd im using nvdia rtx 2060 super but i also get the same issue.. it opens and crashes imediatly..
EDIT: OMG YES I FINALLY FOUND THE ISSUE, for amd idk the fix, apperantly downloading old driver works like u say, but for nvdia it wasnt the driver that crashed my game, it was gpu tuner, i simply close gpu tuner whenever im trying to start minecraft and it works .3
