LiftMaster limit and force setting tutorial. Pre 2/22. See new video for openers after 2/22.

**This is for Liftmaster and Chamberlain with up down arrow programming dated before 2/2022. We are making an updated video for the newest units.

This short video shows how to set the forces and limits of newer Liftmaster openers. This tutorial only applies to units that have electronic style limits. Note you can just reset the forces but generally it's best to just reprogram it all at once.

After an hour of trying to fix my door, this is the video that told me the answer. I was trying to use the learn and I guess I accidently got it stuck in a mode where I needed to reprogram the force. I did the steps in the tutorial and now it works great. Thank you so much!

Thank you !! I was trying to hook up a parking laser and hit those buttons by accident screwing up how hard it wanted to push the door down. It’s not like the old ones where you just turn buttons to make it go up or down more. I was afraid I was going to have to call in a repair and found your video!! Thanks for the tutorial very easy to follow! I was at my wits end with it, tried programming it 5 times with door going down all the way and then finished up and door would go down till almost closed and go back up. Finally after some time figured out the bottom of my door had some dirt and leaves on it causing the safety to trip. My old one didn't have the sensors

Yes sir I replaced the seal and since the old one was so pancaked when I put the new one on the garage door had to much tension. Awesome video and can follow while you’re talking. Thanks man great video 💯
