I have no mods installed but when I try opening curseforge 1.20.1 in minecraft launcher it always comes out as exit code 1

My issue is different. I have no idea what's causing it. I'm trying to install forge for 1.20 and no matter what forge installer I used it won't open. It gives me error code 1. I have no mods in the mods folder, no resource packs or shader packs in any of the folders either. I've installed and uninstalled the Minecraft launcher once and deleted all the files and then reinstalled it and reinstalled the latest forge installer for 1.20 and it still gives me error code 1. I don't if the root of the problem is in a completely different file or not. But I have zero idea what's causing it. if you don't mind I would like your help on this situation.

Thanks mate, didn't know my brother put so many outdated Mods in the folder, it makes sense now why it's crashing, thanks for the help! Thumbs Up!

Do you manually download your mods I use the curse forge app and I'm having trouble with my custom modpack it worked before I added like 40 mods which it was only a 3 mod modpack to begin with but now it doesn't work I've played modpack with 250+ mods and it never took this long on the "loading bootstrap resources" screen it's been like this for 20 minutes normally like RL or dawncraft takes like 5 or less depending how long I've played that day

I tried going into a 1.12.2 modpack in CurseForge and it happened. I did the tutorial and it's still happening. Can you please tell me how to fix it? If so, thank you.

I have a problem, after I open the .minecraft folder, mods don't appear in it. So i have no folder to clear out, what do i do?

I have no mods in my folder or resource packs or anything, everytime i try to open forge it just wont open or says error code 1 but when i load my regular minecraft java its runs smoothly. can somebody help me i've looked at multiple videos and all it says is to check your mods but i dont have any.

I have 0 mods in my mods folder and I'm still getting the error code 1 when trying to load a forge world. If I try and just load a java world, it works fine, just not a forge world. I've uninstalled and reinstalled java and forge and it's still not working. Any ideas?

I would like to add that I don't have any other forge versions installed. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the current version of forge I'm trying to load (also aafter doing this I tried loading a world without any mods and it still didn't work)
I can open an optifine world just fine..

So I keep trying to play forge, but it keeps crashing. I've checked all the mods to make sure they aren't outdated, and i've tried just playing Forge completely unmodded, and it keeps giving me the exit code 1 error screen. I'm trying to make a modpack with Forge but it isn't allowing me. I tried playing other mod packs with Forge and that also hasn't been working. If you could help me, that'd be nice. Thanks!

So, my firends made a server with a specific modpack. I downloaded it, open minecraft join the server and then it crashes, giving me the error. There is one outdated mod but it runs fine on the server and the game works fine for them. If he deleted that mod from the modpack would it maybe fix this issue?

It's not working at all.... I try it over and over again it's not working no matter how i try many times it's always be the same issue, my mods folder is empty and the issue is still not fix, it's look like I'm going to give up on playing forge right now 😞
