How to fix Cyberpunk Crackling Audio (PC)

Click on the "speaker" in the bottom right corner of your task bar. Click on the name of your audio output device. This opens a menu of available playback devices. Select one that is NOT the one that you are currently using (I switch to my monitor instead of my audio interface) and then switch back. Works for me every time. Let me know if it works for you.

This didn't work for me. I played at launch and it was infested with bugs but I never had this crackling. I finally give it a chance again after almost a year, and the audio is 10x worse with constant crackling and jittering. I've tried ever "fix" even though they all seem to be from like 10 months+ ago. How is this even a thing all this time later? It's borderline unplayable with how bad this audio is.

I played the game day one for a couple hours, turned it off and havnt played it since till today. Figuring over a year was enough time to iron out all the bugs. Boot up the game and what do I get? Nothing but constant popping and cracking with the sound 🤦🏻

i might give that a shot. 2022 and the issue is still a thing.

The big issue for me is, lowering my audio quality isnt even an option for me.
1. my audio interface only does 24bit minimum, selecting 16bit is not possible.
2. My headphones are measured, calibrated and then EQ'd in equalizerAPO with .wav file, that is specificly targeted at the bitrate i use so if i would lower my bitrate for cyberpunk, i would basicly fck up my entire audio because my headphone eq wont work anymore and i would reanable and reinstall shit everytime i m playing the game.

Never had this problem before... sure do have it in patch 2.0 and its annoying as hell. And switching devices isn't working.

Cyberpunk and rdr2 both still have crackling audio issues in 2023. Just a game feature I suppose.

For me this happens more often when I am using my headphones. It's usually okay when I am using speakers. Thanks for making the video tho will try this

Doesn’t work for me. Oddly the issue just started for me today and I’ve been playing the game for just over a year now. Nothing seems to work, tried rebooting, your method, different headphones, etc. thanks for the video though glad it’s working for some people.

It seems Cyberpunk doesn't like Focusrite drivers bro, probably it doesnt do well with external audio interfaces in general. cheers!

Thanks Dan back to basics often is the best solution I had this problem thought it was another glitch, my card is creative sound blaster z, switched to onboard realtek, then back to creative, works!
