Cyberpunk Audio Buzz/Crackle Fix (Current for 2023 + Phantom Liberty)

This is a way to Fix the Audio crackle and Buzz in Cyberpunk 2077 in 2023 and should wirk with Phantom Liberty when it releases.
Things to note: USB headsets need to be set to SPEAKERS and not USB.
Adjust the settings I noted after doing so.
Because of the speaker setting, the volume will be higher and the bass response sound stage seems worse, so you may want to adjust the volume before you play.

Thanks man, love it when the easy fixes work. I didn't even have to mess with the sound card settings, just the in game setting was enough to completely solve the problem.

Holy shit man. I have downloaded this game several times. Tried every fix I could find (which was pretty much just update your audio drivers and set the audio quality to DVD quality. I just downloaded it again and tried again today. I was pretty pisses that it was still doing this crap. So I deleted it again. Then I saw this video and I said "screw it. I'll download again and retry with this" because I haven't seen this in any other website or forum or anything. Like magic, it fixed it. Thank you so much for posting this video. You are THE MAN!

edit: well it seemed to have completely fixed it, but still getting some crackling. It's noticeably better, but not completely gone. Not sure what else I can try.

Clear your local cache! Settings, storage, clear local saved games. Sync the save, all better

As an extra tid bit here, If you use a USB headset, make sure "Speakers" is selected.. and not headphones (USB)

I have a glitch that when I drive my own cars and press the gas a gun starts shooting. No bullets are visible anywhere but pedestrians respond and police. I’m just trying to drive lmao. But it seems to be glitched as if I’m walking cause it’ll cycle thru guns and everything. It also sounds like I’m in 2 places at once. I’ll be out in the middle of the desert yet when I drive and it starts shooting pedestrians are screaming. I’m bummed cause I was enjoying the experience up until this happened. Also music plays no matter what. I’ll lower it to 0 in sounds and it don’t matter.

I’ve tried your suggestions in this video, the GOG suggestion of changing the frequency (Hz) in the dedicated audio control panel to 16 bit 48000 Hz, I’ve tried the controller vibration set to 0 (though I’m on PC), and none of them have worked. Mind you, this is after playing the game for 60 hours(!) bug free. This all started yesterday, I’d even played the game that morning with no issues. I too my AirPods off, forcing the audio to then go through the laptop’s speakers, which I think may be the culprit of what caused this to happen (that’s the only thing I can think of); however, none of the solutions working is extremely disheartening, especially going from totally bug-free and just having purchased Phantom Liberty 🤦🏼‍♂️ Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I don't seem to have these options under misc, the crackling is worse if ur using wireless headphones.

I can hear any dialogue audio but other audios are fine, does anyone know how to fix it am on pc

W3 seems to have this problem aswell so it looks like some kind of issue with their game engine

Hi i had this problem, I fixed it by turning controller vibration to 0, odd fix, but there we are. I am on linux pop os, problem with nvidia and amd gpus.
