Really enjoyed it, different point of view, as a massive Weller fan I was keen to see how he did, he was Ok actually considering it's his first film role.

With all the puns, I thought Mark was about to say Paul did Weller than he expected.

For a Steve McQueen film its really surprising how tepid of a response its garnered, i mean limited release is expected, but a few years ago the pairing of McQueen and Saoirse Ronan would've had people jumping up in their seats, now both of them are kind of out of the pop-culture buzz it seems, and also WW2 'epic' of a kid trying to survive a city in war, is reminiscent of some of the best WW2 movies where they follow a person journey's wandering through a bunch of destructive events.

Apparently on his way back to London he ends up in a town called Malice.

Loved the scenes where George has to find his way In The City that looks like a Wild Wood of Broken Stones where Walls come Tumbling Down...

Saoirse Ronan plays a true English Rose

And of course there is this one scene where the factory girls Shout to the Top...

I've seen it, and it's good. But there is some very clunky dialogue, and as they say - the Dickensian stuff is way OTT.
