Just left the cinema, I very nearly cried at least 3 times. Very well crafted film, fantastic story and wonderful performances.

I was really suprised how emotional I got at scenes I’ve seen a thousand times (34 year old dad here). Excellent film. Also fascinating how it’s a subtle robots take over the world story because humans melt the icebergs.

First, it was 'The Iron Giant, ' then 'Wall-E, ' and now we have another entry in the "Kindhearted Robot Makes You Cry Forever Cinematic Universe" with 'The Wild Robot.'

My daughter cried her eyes out at the end. Very heartwarming

It's a good one. Beautiful across the board. Really glad Mark liked it for all the right reasons. That in itself is reassuring.

“Charming” is an understatement, it’s quite wonderful, one of my favourite films of the year

@ 3:32 -> Wow, bit harsh there. The How To Train Your Dragon trilogy explores a variety of subjects (friendship, death & growing up/ older being just three of them). And, just by chance, the director of this very film was also the director of the first How To Train Your Dragon.

Though if you’re referring to Madagascar, Boss Baby, Trolls et al instead then… yeah, perhaps you have a point. 😄

Currently @$196m worldwide after 4wkends despite stupidly already being on digital release, would be nice if it could triple its $78m production budget & get as close as possible to $250m worldwide 🤞

It's one thing to have a theme to a story, it's another to literally come out and say it. So many anvils. The music never lets you experience any of it for yourself.

One of Dreamwotks best, and I do not use that as a backhanded compliment. How To Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 are outstanding films. That 3 is only pretty good in comparison speaks to their very high quality.

Tremendous point from Doc Brown. I’ve enjoyed loads of Dreamworks animated movies but this one felt more like Pixar. I really enjoyed it - not as good as Iron Giant or WALL-E but I thought it was just as good as Big Hero 6, another movie with which it had a lot in common

Appreciate the mention of Silent Running. I'm always promoting that film to friends.

Mark references all the influences that may have led to the choice of a painterly art style for the film except for the obvious - Peter Brown the author and illustrator. His cover image and pictures throughout the book are wonderful.

I love the cuts to Ben and his look of consternation throughout this

Went in not expecting much. However, this is a must see. Its just wonderful, gorgeous animation, some wonderful interactions between the characters and an emotional rollercoaster, with a great message about friendship, diversity and believing in yourself. Written & directed by the same guy who did Lilo & Stitch & How To Train Your Dragon. Certainly, don't understand some negative views, but each to their own I suppose.

What do you mean this is the last Dreamworks movie made in-house?!
