I’m disgusted by Vance’s comments about Walz’s military service. I come from a military family and I know that an honorable service member NEVER tears down his brothers. I’m an Independent and his comments are repugnant to me. If you wanted to drive military families and veterans away from voting for Trump, good job. You’ve made sure this Independent and many more won’t vote for Trump. Vance is of extremely low character. He is repulsive.

I served in the USN from 1979-84 as a helo aircrewman/search & rescue swimmer. There were about 20 aircrewmen in my squadron, approx the same number of pilots. There were significantly more techs (electronic, jet mechs, ordnance, etc) who didn't fly or jump from helos to rescue down aviators or men overboard. The service of the support rates was just as important as mine. Without them, we couldn't have put a helo in the air.

Shoutout to the National Guard, whose main mission is to keep us safe within our own borders. They are always there helping to sandbag before a flood, rescuing people who’ve been trapped by the elements, and cleaning up after a disaster. That’s not even getting into how many of them have been deployed to combat zones and injured or killed far from home, just the same as the other military branches.

Actually, Tim Walz was a Public Servant as a Teacher for 20 years, as a member of the National Guard for 24 years, as a Governor, and then as a Member of Congress.
Tim Walz has been a Public Servant his entire adult life, from the ground up!

I usually donate to small campaigns, my local state assembly, City council, etc, people where it feels like a few bucks matter. But for the first time in 40 years of voting, this year I donated to Harris/Walz, because I'm *pumped* about this election.

The timeline of Walz deployment shows he put in for retirement long before his group were given orders to deploy to Iraq. He was 40 yrs old and his hearing was bad do to artillery training. He had decided to run for congress months before there was any knowledge of deployment. I thank Walz for 24 years of service before he retired. I will also thank J. D. Vance for his 4 years of service. Vance lying about someone else's service record is unforgivable . This veteran will organize against him.

And there is a video of Gov. Waltz holding a press conference in the middle of the chaos. He admitted mistakes had been made -- but took responsibility as Governor. His outreach to the community is heartfelt and moving. I don't know if his humility would be a good thing or a bad thing for the campaign, but it brought me to tears... and pride for OUR Gov. Tim Walz...
