How to transfer iPhone photos/videos in pc/laptop

transfer photos from iPhone to PC!

Here's what you need to do to make this work: open Settings, and scroll down

find and select photos

select download and keep originals

scroll down

select keep originals

connect your iPhone to your computer via usb.

- Allow data transfer via USB

open file explorer, Apple iPhone, internal storage, in the folder dcim you will find
all your photos

If you had problems to open your iPhone picture after copy from your iPhone to pc. I recommend you open Photo>Click import> select your iPhone>then transfer into your pc. Now you can open it safely.

After copying to laptop iPhone images are not supported to open its showing AAE and HEIC files which is not opening

Update on new OS you need an app named "Apple Devices" and after you install that you reebot your PC and then plug in your phone after that u need to be sure that phone is not save in iCloud then you go to the folder you want to save your iPhone thingie but not in the folder that you want the folder that the folder that you want to be there you save it after that you go allow videos and select the folder name after that you just paste the image/video and done

I used to transfer videos by phone cable from iphone to PC, the video displayed on PC would be double the size on iphone (which is good and expected), the codec of the vid shows H.264 on PC and the quality is just good and natural.

Now when I transfer the very same video, from the same iphone to the very same PC (even to other PCs) via the same cable, the video file size is half, requires HEVC codec to play and when i downloaded hevc and okayed the video, visual quality is just bad ; bitrate is cut in half, fand file size is half than the previous copy that I had trabsferred many months ago.

Also, the good quality copy that shows H.264 on PC, now shows HEVC on the iphone

I only have this issue with videos now, not with pics. Inever had had it with videos before.

Would you happen to know where this might come from and how to remeditae?

(Full disclosure: dropbox and icloud don't help as they export the file from phone as compressed;
converting codecs doesn't do anything neither;
And "keep originals" option doesn't matter at all)

This setting it works also with iPhone 15 ;;; it is possible with this way shown on video to transfer also mp3 songs, or i can transfer only videos and photos ;;

The yellow folders are the whole photos data same has in iphone photos? After copy pasting to other folder can I delete all the iPhone photos? Are you sure all photos are pass on to laptop?

Photos are HEIC format. How to solve? Heic to jpeg is not possible without paid convertors. (I have 3000 pics to transfer)
