Easily backup/copy, store, and transfer all your iPhone Files without iCloud or iTunes by using this simple method with a USB Drive, External Hard Drive, or SSD you have laying around the house.

Here's where you can get yours:

iCloud Maxes out at 2TB but you can have virtually unlimited storage using any SSD, Hard Drive, or USB Drive you have laying around. Sure you lose the benefits of cloud storage, but at least your data is completely yours, offline, and ready whenever you need it 🤷🏾‍♂️.

All you need is a Lightning to USB 3.0 camera adapter. In this video, I show you how to use this cheap dongle to extend your iPhone storage, transfer all you pictures, music, documents and videos and backup your life. It's so versatile it can even be used for Professional USB microphones and cameras with your iPhone. It can even be used to quickly transfer all your iPhone files back and forth between a Windows PC or Mac. A true life saver! It also works with older iPhones & iPads.

This in my opinion is the easiest and possibly cheapest way (when you factor in speed, reliability & ease of use) to backup and transfer your pictures, videos, and other files from your iPhone to another 1, PC, Mac, or any other device.
Here's where you can get yours:

Thank you. I just tried selecting all my album photos/videos together > up arrow > Save to Files > browse then choose your external HD > Save. Worked Perfectly fine for all the album!

I’ve always suggested this to people who really wanna save their photos for real. They always think this is complicated.. it’s alarmingly easy. You can even dedicate an external NVMe to sync anytime plugged in.

Good video, if more people did this Apple would lose millions in cloud storage fees.. which are 99% paid because people don’t wanna lose pictures.

Thanks. You just nailed my problem. I've been screwing around with ICloud and Google Drive to try and move video files from my two IPhones to my PC and just a few moments before your video popped up on my YouTube feed I was thinking about the problems and grousing about how much of a pain it is to move files. Over the last few days I have watched several videos on getting my video files over to my PC and not one of them mentioned this method. A HUGE THANK YOU.

Thank you for explaining how why extra power is needed to power up the external hard drive. I didn't realize this. Great video.

Excellent. I was so tired of waiting for iCloud to synch so I could download the files to my PC. This works for video files too. It takes a few minutes, but it still works. Thanks!

Great stuff. I'm new to iPhone just got a 13 on Tuesday and was not happy with the weird hacks to get videos on to my pc. I like this method so much better and it is portable. I like you attitude about affordable non-apple accessories. I'm going to watch more of your videos tomorrow and thanks!

This is a game changer for me thank you!! Im here recording footage, then waiting until the next day to let it sync to the iCloud overnight, then the next morning I can work on it on my MacBook and from there save the files on to my external SSD. This will literally cut a full day from filming to editing.

That WD external storage is probably on NTFS storage format, therefore read-only, you'll see the same if plugged in to a Mac. However, if it is formatted in exFAT, APFS, or other mac-approved format, it will work.

Thanks for the informative, clear and straightforward explanation video.

I tried this and it just works great! Thanks for sharing this mate, really helped a lot! The only thing to really remember is to make sure the external drive is in exFAT format. I didn't do this at first and it was in FAT32 and the copying took hell of a time (20 pics around 20-30 minutes). The only thing I noticed is that why are some of the pictures saved as JPEG and most are in HEIC format?

Finally! This is perfect. I like to have BOTH types of backup but have not been able to find a way with my iphone 8Plus. Thank you! Gonna do it!

Great video! So I was able to get the Samsung T7 1TB to work without external power using a multi-port portable USB-C hub.

Wah Gawn 😊
I have like 14 years of pictures to transfer. It’s clogging up my phone storage. I had a flash drive. But they are so easy to lose

You have explained a lot. I was wondering how to use the adaptor for power and you gave me the answer in seconds. My next question is, How long does information last on a dongle or solid state hard drive. Over years does the information fade or get corrupted. I am very ignorant in this area so please forgive me for asking dumb questions.

I’ve been attempting to do this for long!
