I would have eaten these Cloud Eggs everyday if I was a kid. They are light, fluffy and it’s a versatile entree for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Chili crisp oil took this dish to another level ☁️🥚🤤
Ingredients:
4 Large Eggs
Salt and Pepper, to Taste
Optional Toppings: Chili Crisp Oil, Grated Cheese, Chopped Herbs, Crumbled Bacon
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to broil.
Separate the egg whites and egg yolks into two separate bowls.
Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. This may take a few minutes. Make sure it’s on the highest speed so that the egg whites are infused with air.
Give the egg whites a very light and gentle stir (just a few times)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon the whipped egg whites onto the baking sheet, forming four mounds. Use the back of a spoon to make a small indent in the center of each mound.
Gently place one egg yolk into each indent in the whipped egg whites.
Broil in the preheated oven (middle rack) until the egg whites are set and slightly golden brown on the edges.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Season the eggs with salt and pepper, to taste.
Optionally, sprinkle a little chili crisp oil, grated cheese, chopped herbs, or cooked crumbled bacon over the eggs for added flavor.
