Ok now fill it full with gasoline and let it sit overnight, does it leak then?

I used jb weld to fix a mini fridge evaporator coil - thing lasted 20 years.

I used this two years ago on a plastic ATV tank when I relocated the petcock for an engine swap. The hole was large so I lowered a bolt through the hole to take up some space, filled in all the voids with the sealer and then put a washer and nut on the outside. Tightened it up and it squished out of the air and excess sealer. Covered the outside of it with the same sealer and then a coat of jb plastic bond on top of all that, just for looks to match the black plastic. Still holding up strong.

I used it to fix a fuel tank on a semi tractor once that ran into a fire hydrant so he could get back home. Worked well. Trick is to roughen up the surface and make sure it's absolutely clean, including fuel residue.

No idea how it ranks among other products, but I’ve used Red Kote before and it worked really well. Taped over the concerned areas and made sure to cover vent holes, then fill tank and rotate for good coverage. Drained excess and let sit. Motorcycle has been going on 5 years without an issue.

I've used steel stick or tank putty to repair case covers, their designed to work with solvents. The bike still had the patch years later when sold.

For a much more permanent repair, solder the holes shut with a soldering iron. That's the old-school way and is great for steel tanks you can't easily replace.

I fixed a pinhole leak on my tank with that stuff once. It lasted for a couple weeks before it started leaking again.

I JB Welded my leaking radiator in my 95 Supra back in like 2013 and it still works to this day lmao.

Caswell 2 part epoxy tank liner/sealer is a permanent fix. However, this stuff would work well to plug the holes before using the tank sealer!

I should try that on my Tech 7's which leaks more water than the Titanic on a small water Pro Tip!!

Okay I don’t know how, but you guys are stalking me from the other side of the world. Just last weekend I was standing in supercheap in Melbourne looking at this stuff wondering if it was worth buying to have in reserve lol

Friggen hilarious, especially as my buddies as I call JB Weld… “Justin Beiber Weld” 😂

If you mix a little rubber cement with it, it will help with the vibration breakdown on the epoxy.

We've tried this back in the day. It didn't work very well but the tip given was if you are going to weld or braise it fill the tank with water
