I'm not a fan of the forced stealth missions myself but thats personal preference as you say it fits the world and the character of Kay Vess so not an actual flaw in the game.or the design. Overall I'm having a blast that the occasional frustrating segment won't spoil the game for me and boy does it feel good when I eventually make it through one of those areas.

I’m friggin’ loving this game. I will say, the ability to save your game during stealth missions would have helped. Nonetheless, I worry that stealth is no longer a genre that appeals to the mainstream. Even games like Hitman, which pulls off stealth incredibly well, are somewhat niche nowadays. Hopefully Ubisoft proves that wrong whenever they finally release the next Splinter Cell game.

I feel like the people that are complaining about forced stealth and having to repeat some sections are the same people that will do an Elden ring boss 100 times in a row and would say “it’s a skill issue” if anyone complained about that.

Yeah with patches this will be excellent. I'm enjoying the missions already. Stealth is a minute part of the experience. If I made it past the first planet I believe I can keep going.

The one thing that irked during those stealth mission was the crouch speed. Luckily they add ways to increase the speed. At my 20 hr mark I did get really into and unlocked abilities make those stealthing sections fun. Another thing I would have like is it you could just keep your addreline level. So far I found they are item that slow the loss. So that helps

The first couple of stealth missions kicked my butt. Now that I have some good stealth equipment and understand things better I actually love the stealth missions. The atmosphere and story dials in during those sneaky missions. Feels like a Star Wars smuggler adventure. Really fun. And yeah I agree about the “forced stealth” being a small percent. I feel like most stealth missions in the main story you can go blasters if you want. The most “forced stealth” I’ve ran into is during a job that I chose before hand and if you get caught you fail said job.

I'm about 20 hours in and enjoying it overall. I think that if they could learn from some of the criticisms another game like this would be great. Too bad the bad press from a lot of gamers are going to ruin that from happening. I really think this is Ubisoft trying to get better (gameplay mechanics wise) but people are just hating on them. I have been no big fan as of late, but I LOVED Ubisoft for years. I hope they continue to improve and can thrive with their open worlds with a new formula, but the negativity won't let it happen. I do, however, wish that we had a character creator (even small) or the option to choose between male and female.

Theres 2 missions very early on in the gsmr that have PORTIONS Of forced stealth. Not even the whole thing. They're also INCREDIBLY easy. Like i can run through them without having to do a single takedown level of easy.

People sre just having a hard time because its not a way that theyre used to playing, i wasnt either at first! Some people refuse to adapt or learn though.

I like the stealth missions. They remind me of metal gear solid which I played when I was younger. Those games definitely have forced stealth missions. I hardly ever get caught though. I love this game and agree with you. I even use stealth on half of the missions it's not needed on.

Yeah, the forced stealth complaint was definitely overblown and kind of a self-report on how good at stealth you really are, but man, Massive really needs to add some checkpoints or allow autosaves in restricted areas when you're not in combat. I'm 20 hours in, just finished Tatooine and stealth has been a breeze, but there was this one Hutt base where I just kept dying over and over again. And it's usually not an issue, I don't mind retrying levels, it's just the fact that I had to recollect all of the loot throughout the base every single time I died that became unbearable. Eventually, I just gave up and went guns-blazing on the whole base, then collected the loot uncontested, reputation be damned.

On Microsoft store most said this game is trash ،i just got to the second planet. I wonder if the stealth on the first planet is what people are complaining about because they weren't too bad .

I've only done the one so far but it wasn't too annoying.

I'm not sure why so many people can't get their heads around the fact that she's a thief, not a commando. I think there's a weird idea that every game is a combat game that's taken root at some point, and it's really annoying. I get that this kind of stealth gameplay can be frustrating, but like you so often hear shooter-players say "not every game is 𝘧𝘰𝘳 you", and being a different type of game doesn't mean that it's bad. I personally love the stealth in the game. In fact, I don't think there's 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 stealth in the game, because you're occasionally forced into a fight. I think practically everything about this game is fantastic, and I particularly appreciate that there isn't any Jedi stuff (I've seen people complain about that, too).

I’m not a fan of it but I understand why it’s there, but I do think they could’ve done some of them better.

The lack of checkpoints is certainly something that should be fixed or is an area that could be improved

However, a lot of people who just rant that the "stealth sucks", and the "forced stealth sucks", its largely a skill issue :D

I think also a lot of reviewers, just quickly went through the main missions so did not have the abilities unlocked, the gear unlocked, nix' abilities and meals unlocked, which, yeh, without those, i can understand their complaints.
