Even though Samsung stubbornly refuse to support it, I still think a high end expensive TV should support Dolby Vision and DTS audio formats. These formats are pretty much standard for movie watching and a flagship TV commanding a high price should have them.

There are plenty amateur hour reviewers out there that don’t know what they are doing but out of all the reviewers out there, I only trust vincent. Only through Vincent have we learned about important attributes of this tv, both positive and negative that nobody else caught. He is the Michael Jordan of tv reviews. The true goat! Keep up the great and thorough work.

Hello Vincent! just to say that I managed to turn off the overscan in SDR mode on the S90C model by setting the picture mode to Eco and the Fit to screen menu opened and then turned off the overscan. after that Fit to screen remained unlocked for me in any Picture mode.

300nits full field finally! that means it's finally on par in full screen lightoutput with the most basic non-FALD edgelit LED LCD's(although tbf there are many models that can do 350-400nits) i may sound sarcastic but this is actually genuinely huge bc that's what ~95% content today expects for a bright scene and where current oleds looks visibly dimm still

Excellent review - as always! Was hoping Samsung would bring down the improvements in processing they’ve made with the QN900D down to the 4K lines, but doesn’t seem like it. But the other improvements are welcome.

Question - looking at one of the menus in your review for FMM SDR - do you recommend Contrast at 45 over 38 for SDR?

Thank God, they managed to fix the 144HZ dropout issue. Returned my S95C last summer, due to this issue. Had to argue my UK consumer rights, but got my money back. I am chuffed that the 2024 one connect box has a better power delivery system. Samsung actually listened for once. Will be picking up one of these on Black Friday. Matte screen doesn’t bother me, as my room is brightly lit and I am used to it, with my older monitors e.g PG279Q. I am super impressed with the Odyssey G9 OLED I have as well, with the 2nd generation QD-OLED panel. Samsung are upping their game, to where it should be. Thank you for the analysis Vincent. Very informative, as always. 👍

Can you reveal how you specifically tuned the ST 2084 and Shadow Detail sliders to get better PQ EOTF tracking in Game HDR?

Thanks for the review of the S95D Vincent. Can we check if there's any eta for the Bravia 7 and Bravia 9 review? Looking forward for the reviews

I believe 2024 QD OLED panel Samsung is using is better than 2024 WOLED panel LG is using. However, I think LG has a substantially better image processor this year. It all in software, which Samsung will have a hard time matching.

But how bright is it after a year? The S95B and S95C seems to lose a lot of brightness over time in the RTINGS longevity test, from 200 to about 120 nits full-field.

Lack of Dolby Vision is not an issue because TV is capable of quite high nits. Also I did a side by side comparison on Netflix with and without DV, the diff was NIL. Brightness, Contrast and color depth made the most impact. TV is great, and I love the matte finish for day viewing.

Will you be doing a video of the M4 iPad? The screen uniformity and clarity on the 13 inch is amazing and definitely something worth checking out.

Still no Dolby Vision. HDR10+ is the HD-DVD of HDR formats, they need to stop being so stubborn and just support the format that the industry has overwhelmingly chosen as the winner
