For OLEDs in monitor use:
- Set the taskbar to hide and only pop up when cursored over
- Set your desktop background as pure black or a gentle animation that lets every non-black pixel change over time
- For extended browsing sessions, use it in full-screen mode, or experiment with custom solutions to auto-hide its UI
- Dark mode everything

As my first OLED tv I went with the 77inch Sony OLED A80k.

My wife and I just went with a 83" A90J for the family room and the 75" X95K for the bedroom. Both were on sale and both replacing 65" X950H's. The Black Friday sales made this possible plus I got my TVs cheaper via the military exchange which is tax free for retirees like myself. Takes forever to arrive but I will be happy when I get them in.

I dont understand why people say OLED is dim.. its literally brighter then any LED TV ive ever owned. Brighter and more vivid

I just ordered a 42" C2 to use strictly for gaming on my PC and consoles. I think I should be fine as I got use to using OLEDs for the last several years. You just have to be mindful that's all.

I don’t like to watch tv in the dark. In my basement H/T the couch is exactly 8ft away from my 65” and I don’t have the space for anything bigger so I’m looking at another 65” maybe the S95B but I have the lights on most of the time other than maybe the last hour or so before I call it a night so brightness definitely matters. I’ll have to check out the S95B & G2 and see which is brighter but regardless I will go into the service menu and disable any auto dimming that is on by default. I probably do 60/65% of my viewing upstairs living room or kitchen so burn in probably won’t be a problem on my end.

Agreed on the TV choice thing but I went with 65” inch S95B because I want to wait for the 77” QD-OLED next year and a 65” will hold me over for a year and I’ll move it to my bedroom after the 77” becomes available

I want to know whats considered by tv tech standards, as a "bright" room or "dim" room. Its subjective for sure. My living room is obviously brighter during the day even with shades and curtains closed and dimmer at night with a single lamp on. I wouldn't say its bright compared to a room with full light coming in through large windows though. What's bright for me may be dim compared to other environments. Would be nice to see demos of these tvs in different lighting scenarios instead of just pick this if your room is bright or pick this if its dark.

I have LG Oled C1. And it’s the absolute best !!! I am in a very bright living room with direct sunlight for half the day ! And it’s totally fine . Maybe the old models of OLED like from 5 years ago can’t handle it. But my models is 2-3 years old and it’s perfect !!

"OLED isn't too dim.. your room is just too bright" 🤣🤣

I do a good mixture of gaming and watching movies/shows. Just ordered an LG C2 55in for $1167 plus tax. This will be my first OLED tv so I can't wait for it to arrive. Thank you for the very informative video!

I bought the C1 77" for about the same price as a 65" C2 and I could not be happier. It's a fantastic television.

So if i buy an oled for 99% use, I won’t have burn in lets say 7 years?

Don’t forget the Panasonic LZ2000B it has HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and full gaming features close to the c2/g2.

He's right. I bought a Samsung QN85A in a dark room and I have turn on 2 lights to protect my eyes from the brightness. Just bought a C2 to enjoy gaming without turning every light on in my game room

Greece: S95B 2150€, 77" C2 3300€. We are talking more than 1000 euros difference. C1 77" is at 2500. I don't know if it is even worth it to go for 77" at these prices. Although I really want a bigger screen cause my living room is big.

The TV is important but also remember to get some decent sound and a quality source for video playback

Yeah I'm not getting this TV until they can 100 percent kill the burn man, these TV's are expensive and I really do not feel like going though the headache of if somethings goes wrong, I'm still using a 55 inch 1080p and I sometimes pass out and wake up to it dimmed and still running, I have no worries, think I'll keep it that way.

I have a Samsung HD 40” TV which I’ve had for around 10 years. Sometimes I watch TV/films and stream during the day as well as at night. I want to get a bigger screen 55” maybe a 65” at the right price, but I don’t know whether to get an OLED or a LED. 🤔
