I walked into the store last week to buy a tv and I had absolutely no idea about the difference between oled, qled, uled, qned, etc. I just wanted something halfway decent. Immediately the LG C2 caught my eye and while I checked out the C1, Samsung and Sony oled models, I ended up with the 65” C2. I already knew that the picture and black rendering would be excellent. But I have to say that the audio quality is incredible - probably better than a sound bar. I wasn’t expecting a tv this thin to produce articulated bass sounds. I knew it was a good tv but I didn’t realize that it’s the best of its kind!

I'm owning a LG C1 65" OLED TV.
It's excellent for watching Dolby TV Serieses & Movies and for gaming as well.
😇😇😇

Let's be real, none of these is a bad TV. You're in for a good time with the OLED.

My wife is into photography, and photographers are obsessed with natural skin tones. I chose the Sony A95K; compared to the LG and Samsung OLED versions, the Sony excels in natural skin tones and better reproduction of reds and greens. LG and Samsung TVs tend to over-enhance the colors with a lot more color saturation; at some point, the colors bleed (especially on red), and that's something Sony does at its best, better color reproduction with no color bleed. When my wife and I saw the A95K demo and some movies we tested with, she was sold, and that's what we got. Sony is the right choice for us. If the A95K is too pricey, look into the A80K, that's another excellent TV.

Who uses the built in speaker system in the TV these days? The external speaker systems are so cheap and so good that I have not used the built in speakers in 25 I bought the LG C2 55" for $1, 450 out the door and hooked up my PS5. I am absolutely AMAZED!!!! LG C2 55" for $1, 500 or go the LG G2 55" for $1, 900. These are by far the best quality for the price. There are a few things I've learned after shopping for months on TV's. SEE BELOW

#1: Size does matter! "That's what she said"🤯
---DO NOT BUY BIGGER! Pick the correct size TV for the space and distance you will be viewing it (55"-65" is an average perfect size in most living rooms). The smaller the TV the better it will look. The bigger you go the cost exponentially increases. I chose the 55" class. It is perfect to sit on my couch and watch TV or bust out my video game chair and sit closer for a much wider and more detailed viewing experience.

#2: Expectations🤔 (55" as example)
---You need to decide whether you are a technical geek and care about all the details of the performance and have needs for gaming or just want something newer and bigger. I would say there are "roughly" 3 types of TV buyers, the GO BIG or go home buyer, the MUST BE THE BEST QUALITY no budget rich fool, & the all around quality thrifty shopper. If you go cheap don't expect much in the way of technical details and performance. Basic TV's today are actually really good overall for streaming Hulu, Netflix and other streaming services. If you want top quality best money can buy, be ready to fork out a fortune no matter what size you choose and you will be amazed! But, if you are like me and have higher expectations and gaming needs (PS5) but don't want to spend a fortune you can find some really amazing in the middle TV's with some research and reviews. The technology changes and advances so quickly in this field that if you have a 10 year old TV currently, anything you buy will be way better.

#3: Budget $$$🤑
----Tv's range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands. Have a budget in mind. If you want a TV that will be good for a few years and get another go cheap and get a $400-$600 Tv of your choice and don't expect much in the way of geeky tech details. just enjoy it. If you are like me and have a PS5 or newer Xbox and have the tech details in mind with performance expectations you will need to budget a bit higher. The 55" class is what I set my mind to and did my research for months. You can get some pretty big TV's for under $1k but will be lacking the technical packages and the highest performance upgrades. Once you hit the $1k range and up now you are talking about some of the most cutting edge tech packages in your TV. Remember to stay smaller for better quality. If you are looking for the newest and best you will be over $2k in a heart beat. If you are looking for excellent bang for your buck $1-$2k is the range on 55". Only buy what you can afford to pay for. Do not buy on credit.

#4: ENJOY!
---I have been watching and playing PS5 on my LG C2 and Im in It makes my gaming experience literally 3 times better compared to my 8+ year old 48" TV. I have a surround sound BOSE speaker system and a bad ass Yamaha receiver to power them. This TV has changed my life...."not a joke" (for those who know just know). Thanks for reading and i seriously hope this helps you.

SONY all day every day. I have the original 55" OLED (A1 I think) and it has a spectacular picture.

So they missed off the Panasonic oled tv’s completely. I thought the mz2000 was the gold standard for film watching.

I bought my daughter the lg b2 series and hooked up the series x and think it's an amazing looking TV that performs very well I'd buy that over any of these just because of the $900 price point. I'm sure if i set it next to one of these tvs I'd see a difference but if you don't do that you would never know lol

1- If you got money to spend get the Sony. 2- if you can spend 1k on a tv get the c2 is the best option 3- if you don’t want to spend money and have good quality buy the Vizio for like $800. Why would you compare 3000 dollars tv vs 1200 and 800 . I did this just to save you time. By the way Hisense h6 it’s a very good option too about 700 and 4 hdmi 2.1 I think it supports Dolby Vision check that out too. Take care guys

Dude, your video is few months late, there are new kinds on the block: C3, G3 from LG and new TVs from Samsung with QD-OLED screens. Already presented on CES 2023 in Las Vegas and soon they will start selling it.

Waiting on my new LG C2 77 "OLED C2AUA for delivery any day now.... can't wait. My last Big tv purchase is still barely running••••but is...the 50" Pioneer Plasma with it's stand alone dual tuner box•••• picture in picture...from back in '04. Might take her 30+ minutes to have picture & capacitor issues....but has a beautiful picture.

Oleds a good but I don't like the risk of screen burn in and the simply don't get as bright as non qleds.
Love the sony x95j amazing picture and vibrant colors that aren't exaggerated

Thank you for sharing this interesting, informative article. I echo some of the other chat responses in that I had no understanding of the different screen types. However, after watching this and reading other articles, I've bought a LG OLED42C24LA 42" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV, which is being delivered tomorrow. I only update my tvs once every 15 yrs or more, hence this is going to be a big leap in performance. Rather excited. :)
