Video shows coyote snatch dog from front yard of Pasco home

It took all of three seconds for Leah Cornell’s 14-year-old Chihuahua, Zoey, to fall prey to a coyote. Cornell’s husband was a few feet away when it happened right outside their Trinity home.

Most of the time it's because people leave their dogs out when they shouldn't. Let's be honest, being 20 feet from your dog when it's going to the bathroom for the night isn't usually a big deal. These people didn't do anything they shouldn't have, it was just bad timing. They have even gone public to help and warn other pet owners. They are obviously good people. Bless them and their poor dog.

Don’t let your dog off leash and it won’t get eaten. Leash laws should be observed and pets should be supervised.

Keep your dog on a leash and keep cats inside. Coyotes love to eat small dogs and cats.

So sorry. I see little dogs and cats in my neighborhood unsupervised all the time in my neighborhood. Future coyote bait. I have a Bullmastiff but never leave her unattended.

This morning my 2 dogs bella and willy passed away from a coyote willy was taken and bella tryed to save him but bella passed away and the coyote took willy and we’re currently looking for his body :( may they rest in peace R.I.P

You have to watch your dog surroundings especially if you know coyotes live in the area. When you walk your dog take a gun or something

Lol. The good boy in my profile picture used to bully the small pack of yotes and take whatever they killed and bring it home. Usually rabbit's and the occasional body part of a deer. I loved that dog

To those critical of the dog owners decision to let their dog out front to use the bathroom without a leash should understand that is obvious the coyote staked out that small dog. Very unfortunate
