I remember seeing Rauno Heinla say that you should only wrap 1 time, not twice. Makes sense for deadlift ladders and I find that my grip actually slips less with just 1 wrap around than two. But doing it the way you showed in the video is definitely the strongest if you have time.

After trying this until I eventually got it, it’s actually insane. Feels like you’re not even gripping the bar. Unfortunately it puts a lot of pressure on your wrists if it’s too tight but it’s a night and day difference vs the regular way.

Game changer for me! Doing wraps the normal way actually gave me worse grip than doing no wraps and chalk. But this strongman way gave me so much more grip!

New to weight lifting, been researching how to use straps, I find this way more comfortable and I don’t loose my grip. I have small wrists, the other way caused brusing, this does not! 😅🎉

I have a sprained finger and cannot get any kind of grip on a bar to do any lifting. My hubby bought me lifting straps, but I couldn't feel much of a difference using them. Using this method, I can lift again! I can even lift using just my pinky and ring finger to hold the bar. Thank you!
