Why Using Lifting Straps = More Gains

⏳ 30 Seconds To Understand…

WHY YOU SHOULD USE LIFTING STRAPS IN THE GYM!

Lifting straps are used to ensure your grip does not fail before the muscle you are working! They tether your wrists to the bar/dumbbell and take the load from your fingers (grip strength) to your wrists so you can continue to lift even after your grip has given up!

Obviously if your are trying to build grip strength, leave the lifting straps in the bag.

But if your main focus is hypertrophy then utilising lifting straps during pulling movements will allow your to focus more on the muscle doing the work and less on gripping the bar/dumbbell and allow you to get more reps out than without the straps!

Give them a go, you won't look back!

ordered mine because of this movement in the video. I max out at 65kg on the bar pull downs but feel it could be more with straps.

I remember being skeptical at first and then the first time I used them being amazed that I ended up doing 5-6 more reps than expected.

Wouldn't say it's that important. You can just train your grip.

Exactly why you should NOT use straps. Overtime your forearms grip strength will get stronger and if u use straps the gap between your grip str and other muscles will get bigger and bigger, resulting into imbalances and problems.
