Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

Dr. Moises Lustgarten, Pain Medicine Physician with Baptist Health South Florida, explains fibromyalgia is a disease that involves pain in multiple parts of the body, such as muscles and ligaments, and it is also associated with depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and eating disorders.

Some of the symptoms of fibromyalgia are fatigue, morning stiffness, nausea, weight gain, vision problems, twitches, and memory impairment. He also says fibromyalgia cannot be tested or diagnosed with an image or with a lab board, so the physician has to rule out all the possible reasons for the patient's pain before they can diagnose it.
