one thing I am always fascinated by is how quick Smiths regeneration is. It isn't long and drawn out, it doesn't damage the Tardis and that's because most of the destruction from the Regen Energy happened in Christmas.

Matt Smith does _such_ a good job here. He's showing us an old man in a young man's body and absolutely nails it. And then there's the emotional loading he brings to the entire scene. Spectacular work.

"We all change, when you think about it, we're all different people; all through our lives, and that's okay, that's good, you've gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me."

Matt Smith will always be MY Doctor.

I still miss Matt Smith's Doctor. He's my favorite. This is coming from someone that started watching the show in 1965! Matt Smith nicely mixed Patrick Troughton's whimsical frenzy, with Tom Baker's contemplative side, & David Tennant's intense side.

I love how when he first changes, she's obviously shocked, but the real abject terror kicks in as soon as she's asked to pilot the TARDIS.

I love how he looks into the camera when he says he'll never forget the time that he was The Doctor.

Plus the bit about how we're different people throughout life. You can't forget the mistakes that made you the person you are now or you'll repeat them, although personally, I'd much, much rather forget.

Watching this after 13's run really demonstrates Stephen Moffat's talent as a writer... The single line "like breath on a mirror" is better than anything spoken during Chibnall's time.

"I don't like the colour"
So you're telling me he knows what it looks like from the inside 💀💀

My favourite regeneration as he is completely at ease and selfless to the core. I loved Matt Smith.

This is the saddest one.

Maybe I’m biased cuz he’s my doctor but honestly it’s heartbreaking can’t help but tear up.

Tennant’s I found sad also and had seen it before this but god this one gets me.

When Amy says "Raggedy man..." it moves me to tears😢

Matt's farewell speech is one of the best pieces of writing and the greatest goodbye of all.

You have the ' Rings of Akatosk playing '
The words are true for all life
Amy saying " Raggedy man "
Finally a gentle nod goodbye to his bowtie that he used to marry River ❤

His journey as the Doctor really has come full circle and RESET

I love how we enter the TARDIS and the chaos looks random to Clara but organised to us because we know about the Doctor's story with Amy where Clara doesn't know about it. :)

I love that, in the 50th anniversary, the episide before this one, he is called "the man who forgets". He spent centuries trying to forget the horrors of the time war, but now he lives without that guilt. Now, he swears to remember the past

Can't believe I was 10 when this came out. I couldnt decide whether david or matt was my favourite doctor, now i mthink matt is my favourite with david at a VERY close second, with the david-matt regeneration being my fave then this one. I was like 7 when my dad showed me doctorwho for the first time, came in with david tennant and the david-matt regeneration being one of the first things i saw of doctorwho on tv when it came out. I grew up with matt smith, playing the adventure games and having action figures etc. So much nostalgia and memories. This was my childhood.
