Overwatch 2 breathes new life into what was once the sharpest multiplayer shooter around, before it had its edges severely dulled by Blizzard’s attention shifting away. The switch to smaller 5v5 matches ushers in a new brawler age for Overwatch where individual duels take precedence over tactical teamplay, and crucially, all but a handful of shields have been thrown out of the arena.

Playing support in OW2 makes me feel like Andrew Garfield in Hacksaw Ridge... it’s brutal.

honestly i'm still pretty disappointed with the direction OW2 went since when it was first revealed it seemed like it was going to be this big new full PvE type game with the old multiplayer on the side but now they've sort of just brushed that off to the side to be delivered seasonally like the archives events were, it really just feels like Overwatch VERSION 2 rather then a whole new game like it was originally showcased as.

So the grading curve for IGN is that an 8 out of 10, is actually a 4 out of 10. That means a 9 is actually an 8 and a 7 is a 0.

The removal of loot boxes is, ok, but they replaced it with an even more predatory system!! The issue wasn’t random loot, it was the predatory nature of the shop, and it’s more predatory than before..

Let's not talk about how the battle pass and new shop system is way over expensive not to mention how we can't even get coins from the battle pass to use in the shop...

Skins that we already got through unlocking them by playing the original game, now can only be unlocked by $20 worth of in game currency EACH. The prices for any of the cosmetics are obnoxiously high.

Until the day comes when these review sites actually start sticking up for consumers is when I'll actually start believing in them again. </3
