Get rid of stuff from 25 years ago that nobody use like Video Post, Atmospheric Apparatus, etc.
Maybe it will open faster.

I think developing 3dsmax is the easiest job ever, all you need to do is to go to work, drink some coffee and come back.

so, none of my 2024 plug-ins will work in this "new" 2025 just for a couple of insignificant changes... if you are making just this small update is ok, but let us keep using 2024 plug-ins with 2025 max

I'm myself a 3ds max user but this is disappointing to see 3ds max became wayyyy behind Maya and Blender. Everytime I see an update from 3ds max my expectations became higher but after seeing the videos I just get disappoint. Animation tools are very old and bug are everywhere. Autodesk should focus on 3ds max more. Its like a forgotten child of autodesk

I can't understand Autodesk development policy. Since years, the whole community has been asking for different development plans.
when to see Bifrost in Max, sculpting tools, motion design tools, better Ui arrangement, parametric modeling tools, why we have to wait for these, rather than finding a bettrer software ???
If you just look at the dislike button, you understand how much underwhelming this video is.

Why doesn't Autodesk just insert Mudbox into 3ds Max like Belnder? It would be much easier to use.

Sorry, but I'm not impressed or happy with these light updates especially when 2024.3 was skipped to get here. And no, I don't care how AD's Max team versions things internally. I'm charged **every year** for this and I didn't get the same amount of deliverables. I spent the same and got less; that's the bottom line I'm paying attention to.

To be fair, there have been some very useful updates in the recent years. But this ain't it. Please, do better.

need better crowd tools, scatter tools, native volume shading of VDB's and view port volumes, faster fluids, better animation tools, updated rigging, faster skinning and deformation tools etc...not just color updates... seems like this is an update to follow the version numbering sequence from 2024 to 2025

Nothing too exciting here. I'm a little sick of getting jealous of faster updating packages. Please update and integrate the UVW Unwrap editor. It's been basically the same for 20 years.

Max to become imbative should have:

*A beautiful viewport, integrated with some material that can be used with native vray or corona.
* Some tool for sculpt characters, similar to mudbox would be perfect.
* Xgen in 3ds Max or as fast as possible.
* New xrefs system, compared to Maya's reference editor, never works as it should in Max, exactly for pipeline with riggers and animations.

Everything else about Max seems perfect to me, it is stable, I can manage large scenes in it, the interface is simple and effective, its modifier system for modeling is very robust and is one of the program's biggest differences.
And several killer plugins it has, Autodesk should buy some of these plugins and including them would be a big leap too.

I love 3ds max, for me as I'm also a Maya user, MAx is my favorite, but the competition as a blender is attracting a lot of attention, who knows if I learn it, maybe I'll never go back to Max... I still have hope that Max It will be impressive like years ago at its peak.

Why is there no progress in the animation department? All the plugins are from fifteen years ago and nothing has changed and it is a pain to work with them
