I'm using a Threadripper 1900X purely for its PCIe Lanes:
- x16 for a GPU
- x16 for a second GPU (passthrough to my gaming VM)
- x8 for a 40GbE card (connected to my NAS)
- x8 for a SAS controller (connected to an LTO drive for backups)

I really feel like this leaves out the entire point of the video, if it is worth it for enthusiasts? You can buy more expensive Ryzen CPUs, and you buy Rysen CPUs with more cores then the lower end models. So for enthusiasts, why go for a $500-$1000 threadripper vs a $500-$1000 Rysen?

As a 1950x owner there is not much new in this info. I hope to hear more about infinity fabric issues, numa/uma situations in first gen and pluses of third gen etc. TR4 also usually have more ram slots motherboards;)
